Our Oakland, Florida microschool, nestled in the suburbs of Orlando, exists to offer children a place where their nervous systems can settle, their hearts can open, and their natural love of learning can return. We serve families who feel that something essential is missing in traditional education and who are seeking a school that honors the whole child, including sensitive, neurodivergent, and deeply perceptive learners. What makes our school unique is that presence is the foundation and love is the organizing principle, allowing learning to unfold through safety, relationship, and genuine connection. Our Program Philosophy
The Synergy Centre, in Oakland, Florida, is a living field of co-creation. Here, the awakening of each child’s unique genius naturally contributes to collective harmony. We hold a simple truth at the center of our work: Safety is the soil of learning. Presence is the pedagogy. Connection is the pathway to growth. When learners feel safe in their bodies, seen in relationship, and trusted in their individuality, curiosity awakens and learning unfolds organically.
Grades Served
The Synergy Centre serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade from the greater Orlando area, offering a strong academic foundation during key developmental years. Learners engage with grade-level standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies through hands-on, integrated learning. Small group sizes, individualized support, and nervous-system-designed practices help students grow with confidence, resilience, and readiness for future pathways.
Curriculum
At the Synergy Centre, academic excellence and care are deeply connected. Students engage with grade-level standards through integrated, project-based learning that builds strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, and critical thinking. We emphasize deep understanding, real-world application, and strong communication skills. Progress is tracked through portfolios, work samples, and ongoing observation—supporting confidence, curiosity, and readiness for future academic pathways.
Typical Day
Learning at the Synergy Centre is grounded in rhythm, relationship, and real-world meaning. Before intellect awakens, the nervous system learns safety; before performance is possible, connection must be present. Each day follows a natural rhythm—Awaken, Align, Create, Integrate—supporting gentle arrival, co-regulation, hands-on learning, reflection, and rest. This rhythm builds focus, emotional regulation, and deep engagement without rushing or pressure.

Molly Funk
Molly brings nearly three decades of experience supporting children, families, and educators to The Synergy Centre. She began her career as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and school principal, and for the past 13 years has worked nationally with school organizations as a consultant, coach, and facilitator.
A parent of four and doctoral researcher in Mind-Body Medicine, Molly blends deep professional expertise with care, curiosity, and an integrative lens, partnering with families and community to create learning environments where safety, connection, and belonging allow all to flourish.

What happens after I submit the form?
Once you share your details, our team reviews your information to ensure our micro-school environment is a nurturing fit for your child's unique needs. You will receive a confirmation email immediately after submission.
How soon will I hear back from the school?
We personally attend to every inquiry. Typically, a member of our enrollment team will reach out to you within 3–5 business days to discuss next steps or schedule an initial conversation.
Is there currently a waitlist for new learners?
As a micro-school, our cohorts remain intentionally small to preserve our nurturing atmosphere. Depending on the grade level, there may be a waitlist, which we will discuss with you during our first call.
Are visits or phone calls part of the process?
Absolutely. Authentic connection is our priority. After the initial form review, we invite families for a discovery call and, eventually, a gentle visit to our Oakland campus to experience the rhythm of our day.
